WordCamp Birmingham 2019

This year, WordCamp Birmingham 2019 runs August 10th through the 11th at the Rosewood Hall at Homewood City Hall. And Marco Berrocal from GreenGeeks will be there ready to hand out some swag!

And this year is sure to be a great experience as there are many speakers ready to share some WordPress goodness.

What to Expect at WordCamp Birmingham

I have to say, I am a bit envious of Marco as the talks available this weekend have definitely piqued my interest.

That’s the beauty of WordCamp; there is something for everyone at these events. For instance, this year in Birmingham brings:

  • Blogging, Even if You Think You Can’t Write
Blogging is often fun while at the same time contributing to building a brand. In this talk, Aida Marie Correa goes over different types of blogs and how they can help you even if you’re not a strong writer.
  • Write & Shcedule Blog Posts for an Entire Quarter in ONE Day
Here is something I would love to sit in on. Patrice Turner demonstrates how you can write and schedule three months worth of blog posts in a single day. For those who are busy like myself, this is incredibly intriguing.
  • 10 Ways to Get Your Readers to Generate Content For You
We all face writer’s block and have issues coming up with content ideas. One way to get around that is to explore what drives your audience. Sylvie Stacy talks about letting user-generated content work for you and the website.
  • Tools and Plugins to Help You Get More Done and Stay Sane
Keeping yourself efficient is key to success whether you’re a blogger or operate an online store. Mickey Mellen goes over a variety of tools to help you get more done throughout the day.
  • Your Brand in a Voice-First World
Voice search and online interaction are growing in popularity. Things like Google Home, Alexa and Siri drive a lot of searches nowadays. And Chip Edwards talks about using verbal commands to your advantage in terms of creating content. This is another talk I wish I could attend.

There is simply so much to do at WordCamp Birmingham 2019. Whether you’re just starting out with WordPress or a seasoned developer, the sessions this year are rife with information.
